Dark elves (AKA Drow, Alvar) are a race of underground dwelling race of elves. Most are evil, but at rare times heroes come to be.
History
Dark elves have lived underground for centuries. They constantly fight with other elven species. The Dark elves sometimes form a rebel group against evil dark elves. Their cities are usually underground.
Speculation
It is possible that the Dark elf is related to the Night elf in some way.
